How does the process work?
Place your order and upload a photo of your pet.
Within 2 days you'll get a proof/preview by email.
Once you approve the preview, we move on to printing.
Within 5–7 days* your order arrives, with tracking all the way.

Handmade? How are the portraits made?
Yes — every portrait is made digitally and by hand, by a real human. We think AI art is boring and impersonal, plus it's hard to prompt and make small tweaks based on your wishes. We usually start by improving the uploaded photo: brightening shadows, sharpening details around the eyes and face, and so on, and then we build the portrait in your chosen style. When you receive the preview you can come back with feedback before we send it to print.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is free, no matter where in the world you are! If you need your delivery faster — maybe for an upcoming birthday — you can add express shipping for 149 kr. Your order will then be delivered with DHL Express, Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays. DHL Express delivers your package by 9 PM at the latest. If no one is home to receive it, DHL leaves a note at your door with information on how to book a new delivery attempt.
Express shipping is available on selected products, and the option won't appear at checkout if your cart contains items that can't be express-shipped.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We offer free shipping to all countries.
What paper do you use?
We print on FUJIFILM Crystal Archive photo paper, which gives outstanding color reproduction, sharp detail, and long-lasting quality. The paper is top of the line and is used to make sure the result looks professional and vibrant.
What payment options are available?
We offer payment with Swish, card, Klarna, and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay. We use Stripe as our payment provider for safe and secure online card payments. If you choose Klarna, you can have your order delivered first and pay later.
Can I have more than one pet in my portrait?
Yes! We can include up to three pets per portrait. Just pick our three-pet option.
What if I don't have a dog?
Cats are just everyday business for us. Got a rabbit, horse, or turtle? Even more fun! We create portraits of all kinds of pets – the possibilities are endless, and we love a little challenge!
Can I email a photo instead?
If you're having trouble with the upload form you can email us directly at hello@picopet.com with your photo and we'll sort it out for you.
What if I'm not happy with my order?
If you're not 100% happy with your order we'll do our best to make it right! Contact our support at hello@picopet.com and we'll help you out.
What's your refund policy?
If you change your mind before our design team has started your order, we can sometimes grant a refund. We don't offer returns or refunds on printed portraits, since every piece is uniquely made for your pet.
